Guide to Reference Books

The 10th edition of the Guide (1986) is one of a small core of references essential to the day-to-day operations of Reference and Research Book News (it was enthusiastically reviewed in our May 1987 issue) and, we trust, to librarians and researchers everywhere. This Supplement, the only one to the 10th edition, lists 4,668 titles that cover reference publishing from the end of December 1984 through the end of 1990. As in prior editions, the focus continues to be on reference works for scholarly research, but representative works intended for general reference are included as well. Member price, $76.50.
